Charmouth itself has a sand/shingle beach and is safe for boating and bathing a ten minute level walk away.  Tennis, putting and bowls are available in the village playing fields, whilst riding stables and a golf course are in the vicinity.

Only 3 miles to the west is the quaint town of Lyme Regis used as the setting for the film 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'. To the east is the market town of Bridport and the harbour of West Bay, made famous in the TV series 'Harbour Lights' starring Nick Berry.

West Dorset is the perfect holiday location with uncrowded beaches, miles of unspoilt Heritage Coast, pretty harbours and little villages seemingly untouched by time. Lovely old houses, museums and houses to explore and excellent sea fishing off the local beaches.
